Kayla Graduates Kindergarten!

If only you could see the tears... Kayla has grown up so much this past year. She is way ready for 1st grade but I am not. I am going to miss picking her up from the bus stop, making her nachos or a salad for lunch, playing McDonald's in the play room, running errands with her where she always talked me into buying her something (it is so easy when you just have one kid with you) playing Disney scene it where she would beat me most of the time fair and square, laying on the couch with her watching a movie, but mostly just having her around. She a smart and very independent and I know she'll do great next year. Congratulations Kayla! Sure love you Kayla Baby!
Kayla getting introduced. They had a western theme and it was so cute.
Coming down the pathway to 1st grade on her horse.

They had a program where they sang songs with actions. Of course it was adorable!

My BIG first grader...

Kayla with her wonderful teacher Mrs. Marchant. I can not say enough about Kayla's teacher. She was the best kindergarten teacher we have ever had. We just love her!

Silly Kid...

This is what we see Chase wearing 24/7 and at nighttime Chase kindly shares the other one with his dad.

Dad's new Ride...

I tried my best to keep this away but I can't keep my husband from doing something that he loves forever. It did come with some ground rules which my husband agreed to because he loves me and wants to stay in one piece until we are old and gray. I have to admit that I am excited go out on dates with it though. What can you do!

T-Ball...

T-ball what more can you say. It is more for parent entertainment then the kids. Kayla has enjoyed kicking dirt around with her feet, sitting in the dirt while in the outfield, and her most favorite thing of all, finding lady bugs and sticking them into her pocket. So all in all Kayla had a fun time playing t-ball this year. Seriously though we did enjoy watching her.

Softball...

This is Mikelle's first year of "real softball" and as Steven would tell you she has her mama's genes. She loves to play which makes me very happy. This is the first thing she has done that not once did she ever complain about going to practices or games which is huge if you know Mikelle. When we were on our way to her last game she told me that she was going to hit a home run. I told her of course you are not ever thinking it would actually happen. Well it did. So her actual hit was really a double but she was determined to make it home and luckily for overthrows combined with her speed she made it to home plate. It was jump out of your seat and scream moment. Mikelle is a great little ball player and we love watching her!

Baseball...

Katon has been doing awesome in baseball this year. He loves being the second baseman for his team. I love watching him play. Although sometimes I miss the old days when everyone got to bat and there were no outs because when your son is up to bat with 2 outs and bases loaded you feel like you are sitting on pins and needles. Luckily any time that has happened Katon has pulled through.

My Better Half...

Have I told you lately that I love you...

Mothers Day

Mothers Day is a very happy day. The fact that I am able to celebrate it with the four most precious people in my life makes it the best day of the year! There are so many words that describe motherhood. To me motherhood = true happiness. My kids are my life. There is nothing better then when I find a note on my pillow from Mikelle or when I walk into Chases room in the morning and I see my baby boy standing in his crib with a big smile on his face saying MaMaMaMa, when Kayla tells me you look beautiful today mom, I like your shoes, can I have those when I am a mom, or when Katon tells me thank you for all I do and that I am the best mom ever. Being a mom is definitely not easy. You get frustrated and tired, your heart aches when you kids are sad, you have to clean up throw up (seems like I have been doing a lot of that lately) your kids get mad when you say no and storm off to their rooms saying I don't like you mom, but at the end of the day when you are putting them to bed and you hear their little prayers and they look up to you with big smiles and tell you they love you, nothing can compete with that. My greatest joys come from being a mother and I feel so blessed to have the children that I do! Mom loves you forever Katon, Mikelle, Kayla, and Chase.
Thank you for a wonderful Mothers Day!

Baby Houston

I have a new nephew! Houston Lee Jarvis born to my brother Josh and his sweet wife Amber. I got to see him and love him a few weeks ago. He was so precious! Congratulations Josh and Amber. He is perfect!

Let alone walk in them

Kayla's Birthday!!!

WOW... My Kayla baby is 6 years old. My baby girl has grown up so fast. Our family would definitely not be complete with out her. She is an easy going, up for any adventure type of a girl. She still cracks us up like she did when she first began to talk. Steven and I still catch ourselves looking at each other saying, "did she just say that." Not to long ago I picked her up from a friends house and by the time we got home I felt like I had just had a long conversation with an adult. Kayla is our most adventurous child. This girl will try anything and I mean anything. Kayla is misses fashion diva. She loves clothes and shoes and she has a style of her own. She loves to do makeup and hair. She can put her hair in a pony tail all by herself and it looks perfect. She is a girlly girl if there ever was one but she can get down and dirty with the boys. Kayla is very independent has a natural confidence about herself and she doesn't let anything bother her. She is always drawing me pictures and tries to make letters into words. She has a whole routine she does before she goes to school that consists of probably giving me about 20 hugs and kisses. Although it feels like too much sometimes I know I am going to miss it one day. Kayla is one special little girl. She still has her dad and I wrapped around her little finger and I think she always will. We love you Kayla! Happy Birthday!!
