1st Hair Cut

WOW, cutting his hair was a challenge. Not to mention that I was scared to death of messing up. But to my relief it turned out okay. Doesn't he look so gosh darn cute!!!

11 months

Only one more month and this kid will be one years old. Is that really possible. This year has flown by as does every year. Chase is a whole new baby lately. He had three teeth brake through all at the same time. No wonder he was miserable. Now he just smiles and laughs all the time. It is so enjoyable to watch him discover new things. He notices textures and sounds a lot more. He stood up on his own for the first time a few days ago and is getting pretty fast walking along the couch. His new favorite thing is the discovery of how to open cupboards and completely tear them apart. It's interesting for me to see that the more kids I have the more patience and tolerance I have for things. When he makes messes I just laugh and thinks it's cute seeing him wrapped up in the entire roll of toilet paper or seeing fishes dumped and smashed all over the kitchen floor. It's just cute! This kid brings so much joy into our home. Only mothers can understand how hard it is to describe the joy every child brings.

SUPERMAN...

Halloween!!!

Halloween sort of came and went for us this year. (maybe due to the fact that I had to speak in Stake Conference that day) It was one of those times where we got out the Halloween bucket and found whatever costumes we could. Even though there was major lack of preparation on my part the kids enjoyed every bit of Halloween. Since we live in the middle of nowhere, we drove into town and went to this cute little neighborhood and took the kids trick or treating. We loved watching them run to every house with big smiles on their face. This was the first year that Kayla really got into it and stuck with Katon and Mikelle. It was fun to watch her get so excited. After a little while the kids were cold and tired but SO NOT done trick or treating so we opened the back of the car and drove them from house to house. When they finally said they were done (really when mom and dad said LAST HOUSE) we went out for ice cream. Then home and off to bed!! We had a great time as a family on Halloween!!
Katon as spiderman
Mikelle as a cute witch
Kayla as a scary spider
And our little Chaser elephant

This is Hannah who has been pretty much adopted by us. She is such a great girl and we love her so much!
The fam walking the streets

He was happy the whole time! Maybe because he always had one of these in his mouth!

Hannah and the kids. They love Hannah and call her their sister! It was fun to have her come trick or treating with us!
Watch out I'm driving
It's never to cold for ice cream

Carving Pumpkins

Kayla decided she wanted to draw on her own face. And then have dad help her carve it out. It was definitely a challenge to carve but Steven will do anything for his Kayla Baby!
Mikelle picked out a skeleton face for her pumpkin and after a few tries at carving it out she opted for mom to finish it!
Katon wanted a little monster guy on his pumpkin and HE did awesome at carving it out himself. I have never seen him sit and study something for so long!
They all turned out great!
