Growing Up and Learning

It is bitter sweet to watch Katon learn how to do big boy chores. He is so eager to do them because he wants to be side by side with his dad. He is growing up right before my eyes.

Can't get Enough

Just because I can't get enough of my boy...

Girls Craft Night

Amber, me, Grandma Sue, Jodi, Nacole, and Mom
Here we are with our cute little bunnies we made from wash cloths
My brother decided that bunnies were to girlly so he made a bumble bee
We love Uncle JD
My brother JD is so cute with his nieces and nephews. Chase was getting a little fussy and instead of handing him over he calmed him down by showing Chase all the cool fish. He is going to make a great dad someday.

My family got together and decided that we missed doing fun crafts. They don't do it in relief society anymore and we all wanted to improve our crafty side. So we are going to get together every other month and make some sort of craft. We switch off who is in charge of the craft and who's house we will meet at. This month we had it at my grandma's house where she fed us some yummy food and we made homemade bread in a bunny shape that was sooo cute and then we made bunnies out of wash cloths. It was a fun night and nice to accomplish something while visiting and laughing.
Side note: My brother JD has a pretty good crafty side that he enjoys and just uses dinner as an excuse to come to our girls night...

Mikelle's singing debut

Mikelle and her wonderful teacher Ms. Parris
Mikelle was part of a Valentines singing concert at her school. The concert was so cute. All these first graders singing cute songs and doing all these cute actions with them was very entertaining. Call me bias but Mikelle was one of the most adorable kids up there. She loves to sing and she sang her heart out and knew all the actions. I am now one of those silly little moms that has a permanent smile on my face while sitting straight up so I can see everything my child does while giving her a thumbs up after every song.
Gotta love it...

Valentines Day

The Valentines breakfast! Complete with waffles, hash browns, and blueberry muffins (we like carbs around our house) and special Valentine gifts. It's a tradition for us to have a special breakfast with the table all decorated with candy and every year the kids are still so surprised and excited.
A fun Valentines Dinner with heart shaped pizza's, salad, strawberries and red punch.
And the sweet ending, their very own giant cupcake!
You know what they say: Feed them sugar and put them to bed!

We had a wonderful and very relaxing Valentines Day! We spent the day with our kids playing around the house and going to the park. After the kids were in bed Steven and I rented a movie and bought ourselves a treat from dairy queen. This was actually really exciting for us because it was the first time since Chase was born that we watched an entire movie without any kids and any interruptions. Yea!!! Steven and I have never really been big into Valentines Day with gifts and everything but I love doing little things for my kids. The "Valentine Fairy" comes to our house every night of the week before Valentines and delivers gifts and a cute note to each of my kids on their pillows. This year Mikelle thought she discovered who the Valentine Fairy was but I assured her that the Valentine Fairy and mom must shop at the same places...
Hope everyone had a good Valentines Day!

What a good Big Sister

Chase was napping and so I took advantage and hopped in the shower. When I came out of the bathroom this is what I saw. Chase had woken up and my little miniature mom took care of it. She gave him a suckie, put his musical monkey next to him and was reading him books. How sweet is that...

2 MONTHS

Hey Mr. Happy

He loves bath time... Probably because he loves to be naked!

Excuse me...
Kayla loves her baby brother...

I could do this all day long

I just wanna squeeze those chubby little cheeks!

I give myself two thumbs up for being so adorable!
Like all moms say... I CAN"T BELIEVE HE IS ALREADY 2 MONTHS! Our family is so in love with this boy it is ridiculous. You wouldn't think it, but life gets better with every child that comes along. It's tougher, but way worth it. I couldn't even begin to imagine our family without Chase. Life with four kids has been more of an adjustment for me than I thought it was going to be but I am trying my best to embrace every moment (even the tough ones) because I know that someday I will wish I could have these moments again. Katon, Mikelle, and Kayla are such wonderful big brother and sisters. I don't know what I would do without my little helpers. It is so fun to see how much they love Chase. Katon is so patient with him. When Chase cries it doesn't bother him, he just figures out a way to make him happy. Mikelle is very sensitive with him. She is the police women of making sure you washed your hands before touching him. When Chase cries she gets so sad and will not leave you alone until you have picked him up and she knows that he is okay. Kalya is a wanna be mom in every sense of the word. She thinks she can do everything I can and at times it is a little scary but she is so helpful and will do anything you ask her to do if it involves Chase. Steven and I still fight over who gets to hold him. I love that when Steven walks in the door from work he immediately wants to hold Chase and love him. Our family has certainly been blessed with this little spirit. I can't believe how much he changes just over night. One day they start smiling, they start sleeping through the night, they laugh, they hold their head up, they get little chubbers everywhere, they talk to you, their eyes follow you where ever you go and once your out of sight they start to cry, they grab onto you, they recognize your voice. All these little things that mean the world to me happen so fast. So for now I am going to treasure all these little things and wait for all the changes yet to come. NO RUSH!!

Chase's Blessing Day

Chase was blessed on February 1st, 2009. It was a special day and Steven gave Chase a wonderful blessing.

Thank you everyone for taking the time to come. It was so nice to have so much family there to share this special day with us...

Haircuts

The girls got a haircut which they personally think is the best thing ever. What girl doesn't like a new look. The difference with this hair cut is that I finally gave in and let Mikelle cut her hair short. She begs me every time to let her get is cut short but I am such a quick pony tail kind of girl that I could never bring myself to let her. This time she won the battle and she looks so adorable. Lucky for her, her hair drys as straight as straight gets so it's not so bad not being able to pull it back in a pony every day. Bottom line SHE LOVES IT!!!

Seeing Friends Again

A lot of our good PT friends are here doing internships right now so we all got together for dinner and catching up. It was so fun to see everyone and visit. The best part about grad school are the friends you make. We all have so much fun together and I am so grateful for all of their friendships. Thank You Browns for putting it all together and having it at your lovely home.

Chase and Myles (they are 1 month apart)
I love how animated we can get...

A Night of Fun!

A night of nothing but loud music and lot's of fun

At my request my brother put together a night of rock band. It was strictly adults except for baby Chase and we literally rocked the night away. It was so loud we couldn't hear each other talk. It was so much fun. I can't wait to do it again. Hint Hint JD!!
