Way to go Bruisers!

My little softball player is playing in the Championship Game on Saturday!  WooHoo!  Her team has done so good this season and although this play off game came down to the wire they pulled out the win.  It literally came down to Mikelle's teammate getting out of a pickle and scoring.  Such an intense and great game.  Go Bruisers!

Mothers Day!

Motherhood is one of the most thankless jobs but at the same time one of the most rewarding.  Being the mother of these 5 little people is the greatest blessing I could ever receive.

Motherhood is a choice you make everyday to put someone else's happiness and well-being ahead your own to teach the hard lessons to do the right thing even when you're not sure what the right thing is... and to forgive yourself over and over and over again for doing everything wrong

Night with my Girls!

Boys were away at father and sons so the girls and I got to have an all girls night.  Well Briggs got to join too.  We went to dinner then to their cousins dance recital and then went home to have a movie marathon.  Full of popcorn, candy and ice cream.  We went to bed around 12:30 am and had a definite sugar hangover the next day.  Love my 2 girls.  So grateful to have daughters.

Kayla turns 9

Happy Birthday to our Kayla Baby!  She woke up to breakfast of choice: Crepes, OJ, and Bacon.  Took doughnuts to school for her class, went to lunch with mom and little brothers, had a chore free day, afternoon of her choice, dinner of choice: chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans, and punch, cake and ice cream, and presents.  It was a day of Kayla.  She deserved to be celebrated.  This girl is my energizer bunny.  She keeps going and going and going.  She brings fun and laughter to our family.  She rarely has a frown on her face.  She is beautiful inside and out in so many ways.  She is always willing to be my little mommy, help make dinner, do household chores, create a dance party, create a salon, and cheer anyone up with a homemade card.  We Love this Little Girl!  Happy Birthday Kayla!

Happy Birthday my Kayla Baby!

This Kid...

I could just play with him all day!

Unbelievable

Oh Happy Day!  Finally Cast Free!!!  Can you believe how amazing his fingers look.  I think he was a little in disbelief that he had is hand back and could look at it and move it.  He kept starring at it all day.  It made me want to cry every time I saw him attempt to grab or pick something up using those fingers.  It wasn't often because he favored his other but he was trying.  What a blessing modern medicine is and the gift of doctors.  Feeling so unbelievably blessed and thankful.

Little Getaway...

Quick weekend getaways are my favorite with this guy.

Another Surgery...

All smiles at 6am before his surgery.  Briggs had to have another surgery to check up on the fingers, clean them up and to restitch.  He also ended up having to shave down the pinkie bone some more and do a skin graph because the bone was still exposed.  But he said all in all the fingers were healing incredibly and that all was going great.  Yea!!!
Not so happy after surgery.  Coming off the anesthesia always makes him a little grumpy.  Poor Baby!

Music to my Ears

Love a boy who can play the piano
 She is a natural
They both did so great at their piano recital.  Love my piano players!
