Katon's Baptism

We had a very special day yesterday for our family. Steven baptized Katon. It was the perfect day and I couldn't be more proud of Katon and his decision to be baptized. I could never describe the feelings I had to watch my husband take his son and baptize him and confirm him a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I get tears in my eyes just thinking about it. We were lucky enough to have Katon be the only one baptized so our families participated in the program which made it very special for Katon. I couldn't be more grateful for all the support that was shown to us by our family and friends that came. I feel so very blessed to be a part of such great and loving family and friends.

Katon's first ASU football game

So my sister has to be the best Aunt ever. At least Katon thinks so. Katon went to an ASU game with my sister and his cousins Brady and Conner. I am telling you what you have never seen a kid more excited about anything. He could hardly wait for game day. My sister always makes everything fun so she of course took them out to dinner, bought treats at the game and got Katon a head band and a shirt. Katon was in heaven. He came home the happiest boy in the world and told me every detail of how the evening played out. Thank you so much Kristy for taking him. I know he'll never forget this day!

We Love ASU Football

Well really we just love football! I seriously anticipated football season and couldn't wait for it to start. I don't care who's playing I just love to watch. We are however Sun Devil fans. My parents have 4 season tickets and my sister and her husband have 4 season tickets so we are lucky enough to be invited to some games. I love going and jump at the chance to go. Thank you guys for taking us.

Birthdays

My family gets together every month mostly just for fun but we celebrate any birthdays that are coming up in that month. So HAPPY BIRTHDAY Jason, Josh, Katon, Casey, Alexis, and Braiden! We sure love you!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KATON

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY HANDSOME 8 YEAR OLD!!! (his birthday was on Sept. 1st) WOW how time flies. Not to long ago he was my handsome little man. He is still my handsome boy but not so little anymore. It is really true what people say about enjoying your kids while their so young because before you know it they will grow up right before your eyes. Now I know he is only eight and not 16 but seriously it brings me to tears seeing how grown up he already is. Katon is a one of a kind child. He is always so considerate of others, especially his family. He is very easy going and is friends with everyone and anyone. He tries really hard to do what is right and be obedient. I can't tell you how blessed I feel to be is mother. What could I have possibly done to receive such an amazing and loving spirit. Katon we love you so very much and wish you a Happy Happy Birthday!

Katon's Favorites:

Color: Green
Food: Cantaloupe
Toy: Legos
Ice cream: Mint Chip
Place to go: Disneyland
Movie: Transformers
Song: I will go I will do
Activity with the family: Go to the Lake
Thing to do: Ride my dirt bike

Katon's Birthday Party

Steven and I have a rule in our family that we only have "friend" birthday parties when our kids turn certain ages. Well turning 8 is one of those ages. Katon was so excited to have a party. We talked for weeks about what he wanted to do and he finally made up his mind that he wanted to go to Makuta's Island and then have pizza afterwards with cupcakes. So that is exactly what we did. All the kids had a blast at Makuta's Island. It was a perfect place to let the kids run wild. We stayed there for what seemed to be forever and then went home to enjoy pizza and cupcakes. They finished the party with running around the house and inventing some sweet spiderman man moves. All in all I think it turned out to be just the birthday party Katon was hoping for. Happy Birthday Katon!!

Katon needed a little help blowing out the tricky candles!!

Diamondbacks Game

Steven started his first internship on August 18th. He is doing this internship in Payson which means he is gone all week and comes home on the weekends. This internship doesn't end until October 10th so I get to be somewhat of a single mother for a while. The PT office that he is interning for does an annual diamondbacks game with all the employees. They were kind enough to invite Steven and I and our kids. It was a great game and Katon enjoyed every minute of it. It was nice to meet all the people Steven has been working with. I now know why he is enjoying his internship so much.

Mikelles first lost tooth!

Well it finally happened. After this girl waited oh so patiently her tooth finally came out. It came out while in school and she was so excited to show me and tell me all about it. She very cautiously put it under her pillow so that the tooth fairy would come. The tooth fairy did not disappoint and she was one happy camper. She now investigates her teeth all the time to see if any more get loose!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY STEVEN

Stevens birthday was on August 17th. He is one year older and I would have to admit somewhat wiser too.
Here are some things that I love about my sweetheart:
1. He is one handsome little devil
2. He makes me laugh
3. He can start a conversation with anyone
4. He is always doing something productive with his time
5. The way he fathers his children
6. When he comes and tells me, Honey I would really like to go on a date with just you
7. The help he gives me even if it is really inconvenient
8. How he can fix anything
9. When he comes home and surprises me with a washed car
10. When he calls me just to say hi and see how my day is going
11.The way he takes time to teach Katon how to work outside with him
12. He is a worthy priesthood holder
13. When he takes his kids early in the morning to get doughnuts for breakfast
14. He is very smart
15. I love him just for the person that he is

We had my parents over for dinner and then had cake and ice cream for his birthday. Very simple but what else can you do when your birthday is on a Sunday!

Happy Birthday Babe! We sure love you!!

Graham Cabin

After the kids started school we took a quick weekend getaway to graham cabin. No one was using it so we jumped at the chance to take advantage and go. It was an absolute blast. There is nothing better then going to a cabin. It is so relaxing and the kids get to go free exploring the woods and ride their bikes and quads. With no TV is was wonderful to spend some quality family time not to mention husband and wife time when the kids went to bed. Steven and I enjoyed playing cards all night and sitting outside while we had a thunderstorm. Lots of fun memories are made at the cabin.

We hiked are way up to a place called Lady Bug Saddle. It is on the very top of a hill and there are millions of lady bugs everywhere. It is really a neat place. Katon had fun covering himself with lady bugs while Mikelle and Kayla were fine just holding a few in their hands. The lady bugs get everywhere on you. You always end up finding them on you throughout the day. In fact when we came home and I was doing the laundry I discovered that we had brought a lady bug home with us.

Here we are picking raspberries. There are raspberry bushes along the side of this one road. We thought they were all picked but we kept driving and found some. We had fun picking them and taking them home to have as a treat. They were delicious.
