8 Months

I could just squeeze this little boy to pieces.  He is the familes favorite right now!  We all go crazy when he laughs, does his squeezing red face thing (We know what that means) plays peak a boo, splashes uncontrolably in the bath, claps his hands, says dadadada and mamamama, walks along everything and anything, gives wet slobbery kisses, screams and yells really loud, rocks back and forth when he hears music, uses you as his personal jungle gym, mimics sounds you make, plays the shy guy sometimes, jumps up and down in his crib, and most of all takes really good Sunday naps.  He is the center of attention and we love him way too much.  If that is even possible!

Mothers Day...

Oh how I absolutely LOVE being a mom to these adorable, beautiful, talented, obeidient, helpful, funny, amazing kids.  They are my world!

Thanks to my kids and of course wonderful hubby this is where I spent my day.  They wouldn't let me lift a finger.  Words could not express how nice it was to completely have the day off of mom duties!

I also got a little spoiled.  Cards and homemade crafts galore from kayla, cards and coupons from Mikelle, a "diebetic" cookbook from Katon (no I am not diabetic, katon bought it from the book fair at school with his own money. He knows how much I love desserts.  How adorable is that.) And then beautiful flowers from my better half with a card that means more to me than money could buy.  Happy Mother's day to All!!!

Kayla's Special Day!!!

Kayla's Baptism Day was so special!  She looked so precious and beautiful on her day.  She was so excited to be baptized.  She was extra happy that day and couldn't wait for it to be 11:00 so she could get her hair done and put on her dress.  She shared her day with 3 other girls from the ward but was still able to have her grandpa Kempton tell his story about the holy ghost with the tractor. When we talked about her upcoming baptism the first thing she said was, is grandpa going to tell his story with the tractor.  I am so glad he was able to.  The spirit is always so strong at baptisms.  It just feels so right and you know with out a doubt that this is the right thing.  Those were the feelings kayla had that day.  When I layed with her before bed time I asked her how she felt and what she felt when she was baptized.  She said mom, I had a good feeling inside and I knew I was doing the right thing.  I knew my Heavenly Father was happy and that made me happy.  Tears of joy for a mom.  I am proud of Kayla and her deicision to be baptized and become a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Kayla's Testimony
I know this church is true.  I know my Heavenly Father and Jesus love me.  I love to read the Book of Mormon.  I love going to primary.  I love my family.  I know Joseph Smith translated the Book of Mormon.  I want to get married in the temple someday.  In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen

Kayla's Birthday Party!!!

"
Kayla was so excited to have a "friend" party this year.  She really wanted to go to Makutu's Island and then to Peter Piper Pizza.  I was all for that.  Her friends Lexi, Tessa, and Madelyn came and we did exactly what Kayla wanted.  The girls had a blast and didn't want to leave Makutu's Island but finally decided that Peter Piper would be just as fun.  The girls ate and played games and used their 100 + tickets to get plastic rings and tootsie rolls.  Kayla had a lot of fun with her friends and that is what matters most!

Happy Birthday Kayla!!!

Our Kayla baby turned the big 8!!!  How did she ever get this old.  They just keep getting older no matter how bad you want them to stay young.  It is no suprise that this little girl is mommies sweet heart.  She is my little cuddle bug every chance she gets.  She is so her own person.  She has always just done her own thing.  She makes very rational decisions and really thinks about things before she does it.  I tell ya taking this girl to the store when she has her wallet is almost a nightmare.  She will go back and forth with well I really want it but then I will only have $10.00 left,  what if I find something else I want more another time,  what if I wait and then they don't have it anymore,  I could always just earn more money, yada yada yada and it goes on forever like that. She has been known to spend countless hours doing crafts and is very creative.  She is also known for leaving countless pairs of shoes in the car and all over the house, always forgets to clear her dishes, and has very good selective hearing.  She is absolutlely amazing with her baby borther.  I can count on her for anything with him.  She would play with him all day if I asked her too.  I was sick with the stomach bug one morning and so when Briggs woke up I gave him to the girls and asked them to watch him while I tried to sleep it off the best I could.  Well I woke up almost 3 hours later and discovered that Kayla had changed his diaper, fed him breakfast and put him down for a nap.  What the!  Is she serious.  That is my Kayla girl.  I couldn't live with out her.  She is always the tie breaker between the older kids.  When there is a "issue" we turn to Kayla to set the record straight.  I almost think this girl is not able to lie or take sides.  She is the most wonderful daughter and we are beyond lucky to have her in our family.  We love you Kayla Sue!  Happy Birthday!!

 Birthday Breakfast:
Crepes
Bacon
Orange Juice

We suprised her and ate lunch with her at school.
Grandpa and Grandma Kempton came over for her birthday dinner.  Kayla wanted any kind of chicken with mashed potatoes and zuccihini.  It was delicious if I must say.
 Opening presents is always fun.
