Happy Birthday Kayla!

Our Kayla baby turned 7 on May 2nd. I can't believe it. She was our baby for so long that it is crazy to think that she is already 7 years old. The whole day was hers. From what we were eating at every meal to what we did every second. She loved all her gifts and felt very special all day. Kayla is quite the character. She is funny although she doesn't try to be. The other day in the car she was playing with a stick horse. Steven happened to catch her giving the horse a kiss and he asked Kayla, "did you just kiss the horse?" Kayla answered with her face beat red, "no, the horse kissed me." She is our little miss independent and is completely content doing anything herself. She reason's like an adult and can carry on interesting conversations with anyone. We constantly ask ourselves when listening to Kayla, where did she come up with that. She is always willing to help without complaining which is huge at our house and loves to babysit her little brother. She is still my little sidekick that loves to do what mom is doing. She is an excellent student who is a rock star at reading. She is a wonderful daughter who blesses our lives every day. We love you Kayla baby! Happy Birthday!

Her dinner choice was:
Nachos
Pretzel jello
Corn

Katon's Poetry Night

Katon's school class had a poetry night where they performed some poems that they had written. It was really neat to hear all the different poems. Katon did great and we loved his poetry. Here are his poems:
My brother,
He is special to me
We love to play football, wrestle and play on the trampoline
We love to ride motorcycles together
Eat messy
And chase each other
We love to have tickle fights and chase dogs
And that is not all...
He is special to me because I love him
And he loves me

My room is my imagination
It's where I rule
Like a king with a special ring
I could go into space without a trace
Go deep down into the ocean to see fish
Or the Titanic...
Wait! Wait! Don't panic!
And when I open my eyes,
It is all just a dream

My uncle, my uncle
He is very funny
He is lovable as a bunny
He acts so crazy,
But is never lazy
He is awesome
And loves football
He is 20 years old
And so I am told
He is my best friend, my Uncle JD
Katon with his wonderful teacher Mrs. Lauritzen

Happy Easter!

So thankful for the reason we celebrate Easter!

Easter Bunny never seems to disappoint!

Dad wishing the Easter Bunny still delivered him a basket

What a wonderful day spent with my beautiful little family!

Easter with Families!

Loved spending some Easter time with the Kempton's. I love the millions of cousins running around on the beautiful green grass while us adults laugh and catch up on each others family happenings. Spending time with Steven's family is always so enjoyable.

Easter festivities at the Jarvis's. Always a blast!
Cousins having so much fun together.

And the "Egg Pecker" winner!

Pat's Run...

It was so fun doing this event with my family. What a great activity to do together. Steven and my sister Jodi rocked it and ran the race with awesome times and my dad rocked it even more when he thought for sure there would be no way he could make it under a hour and he totally did. My mom, sister Kristy and I enjoyed our time by walking the run. This was a great event that I hope becomes tradition for our family.

He can be a little scary...

In an adorable sort of way...

Sleeping in a Big Boy bed...

Well kind-of!

Pinewood Derby

Katon loves the pinewood derby. What boy doesn't. He had fun designing his car by himself and having his dad help him carve and paint it. His car did great and he tied for 3rd place. He was very happy with that.
