Girls Camp!!!

So being the ward camp director was a lot of work and at times very stressful but SO WELL WORTH IT! I have to sadly admit that I didn't go to camp when I was a youth (wait, I went one year since my mom was going) and so I really had no idea what it was all about. After going with our amazing youth it makes me realize the memories and fun that I missed out on when I was a young women. I had the best time with my ward. Most likely due to the fact that we have awesome leaders and the BEST young women. I LOVE these girls! They are the sweetest and most respectful girls I have ever worked with. Thank you girlies for making camp so fun and a HUGE thank you to the other two women that have become so dear to my heart! Just like Sis. Parker I am going to look forward to camp all year long!!!

Our Tori girl always making us laugh!

One day at camp we got to have a five hour ward time where we could do a fun ward activity. So we planned on taking the girls conoeing and swimming at a nearby lake. The weather however had different plans for us. Instead we spent our time huddled under a ramada trying to avoid the fierce rain and thunder and lightning. With every lightning strike screams got louder and louder. Some girls took cover in cars while others were determined to wait it out under the ramada. Until a lightning bolt struck right by us that left a part of the ground in smoke to where we all started screaming and yelling to get everyone in the cars. It was quite the scene. We kept praying that the rain would stop and through our young women's faith it stopped long enough for us to enjoy the lake for a while. It was quite an adventurous day. One that I will not forget and I doubt anyone else will either.

I miss you Hannah girl!
