Memorial Day Fun

It was a perfect week/weekend to go visit family. My brother was graduating, John and Jessica were down visiting and Memorial Day happened to fall that weekend. I was the lucky one who went down a few days early KIDLESS while Steven stayed with the kids so that I could have a little time to myself. It was wonderful. I went to lunch with friends, went shopping with my mom, went to all the restaurants I have been craving, and most importantly didn't have to answer to anyone but myself. It was a much needed breather! Our visit was a lot of fun. Memorial Day was a blast! Lot's of good food and great company. The kids had a a great time on the giant slip n slide thanks to uncle Robert. Don't you just love the Holiday weekends!

Having Fun with Cousins

Katon trying out field skiing

It was so much fun seeing John and Jessica and their kids while we were down. We hadn't seen their family for a year and a half. My kids were having the time of their lives playing with Nate and Brad 24/7. This activity was a lot of fun. The kids ran around forever playing in this field of water. We sure miss their family!

JD GRADUATES

I can't believe my little brother graduated. His graduation was one for the books. It rained all day and all night. Mesa High decided to move the graduation inside which was too bad because they had to split up the Senior class into two different places. It was nice though that we didn't have to sit out in the pouring rain during the ceremony. Every graduating student was given two tickets to give to parents to come to the graduation. Somehow my brother got four tickets and so my sister Kristy and I were able to go. When the ceremonies were over they had all the students meet in the courtyard to sing Carry On and throw up their caps together as a class. It was an adventure standing out in the freezing rain trying to take pictures. Needless to say however it all went down JD graduated and I couldn't be more proud. My brother is such a stud and has such a promising future ahead of him. We Love You JD!!!

YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME

SINCE WHEN DOES IT SNOW IN MAY!!!

Kayla's joyschool

A few of us wives of our PT husbands did joy school together. It was a lot of fun and I was so thankful that Kayla was able to be apart of it. The kids got along so well. This picture is of our end of the year party. It is sad to think that we are all departing our own separate ways for internships. I am so grateful for the friendships that we have made and for all the parties and fun times we have had. We are really going to miss all our great PT families!

Kayla's Birthday!!!

Birthdays are always fun for me because I don't feel guilty spoiling my kids on their special day. Kayla picked out breakfast, went to lunch with dad and mom, didn't have to take a nap, went and played at the playground while her brother and sister had ball games, went out to dinner with the family, and even got a surprise visit from grandpa and grandma Jarvis. She was queen for the day and loved it. She got great gifts from family and grandparents even great grandparents. She loved opening her gifts and halfway through let her brother and sister help her which they were ever so willing to do. It was a great day and we feel so blessed to have experienced 4 years so far with our darling Kayla.

I love how much they love each other...
Kayla loves her grandma...
Mikelle had this smile on her face the entire game.
Look at that form. She must get that from her mom...
Katon loves playing football.
Look at him go. It's kinda silly how excited I get when he gets the ball...
We loved having my parents here for the weekend. The kids loved having grandpa and grandma around. We had a lot of fun going out to dinner and playing cards all night. Thank you for coming and staying with us. We love you!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KAYLA SUE

My baby turned four years old today. I can hardly believe it. It brought me to tears to look back at baby pictures and seriously wonder why time has to go by so fast. She has been the families little peanut ever since she was born. She has always been my little side kick. Always following me around and doing what I do. She is quite the little helper. Kayla is such a special little girl. She is definetly the button pusher around our house but we wouldn't have it any other way. She fills our home with lots of hugs and kisses, laughter, smiles, and her spunk. We love you Kayla and are so glad that you are apart of our family. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

Death and Rebirth of a Blankie

This is what's left of Kayla's blanket that my mom made for her when she was born. I couldn't even begin to tell you how many times it has been sewn back together. Kayla is completely attached to this blanket. She takes it and drags it everywhere. As you can clearly see it got to the point where it was embarrassing to take it anywhere, especially church. So at Kayla's request I asked my mom if she would make another one.
GUESS WHAT ARRIVED IN THE MAIL TODAY!!!
Kayla's new blanket. She was so excited and I was so grateful. Notice that the strings are extra long. No, my mom did not forget to cut them. That is how Kayla wanted it. Kayla calls those strings "good one, ones" Don't ask me how she came up with that name but ever since she could talk that is what she has called them. Kayla is a thumb sucker and has been since she was an infant. When she was not even a year old she started to take the strings on her blankie and twist them around her fingers and tickle her nose with them. It was her comfort thing I guess and she still does it to this day. We are working on the thumb sucking thing but she still can't do without her "good one, one's" Thank you mom, the first thing Kayla said when she saw the blanket was "it has lots of good one, one's"
She is loving her new blankie!
THANK YOU GRANDMA!!!

He won't stop loosing teeth

We call him our toothless wonder! He keeps losing teeth. The other night he lost his 6th tooth. We didn't even know his tooth was loose. Sometimes I think he wiggles them to death until they come out.
