Captains Dinner
Juneau
We went whale watching in Juneau. It also was one of my favorites. I have always wanted to go whale watching ever since I was a little girl playing a whale saver in my swimming pool. It was an experience I won't ever forget. Our captain was so wonderful. He knew everything about the ocean and it's surroundings and all about the ocean wildlife. The coolest thing about the adventure was that we were fortunate enough to see the whales bubbling (eating) I guess it is really rare to see that so we felt pretty special. The whales would come bursting out of the water with their mouths open. It was seriously a national geographic moment. These whales were massive. We are talking about 50 feet long and 50 to 60 thousand pounds. Nothing can describe the feeling of being out in the middle of the ocean and seeing whales in their natural habitat. Thank you Harv and Marv tours for an incredible adventure.
Skagway
In Skagway Steven and I, Robert and Amber, Deven and Wendy, and Sally and Vince all rented an Astro van and went mobbing. We also went and found some really pretty sights. We wanted to find a salmon run but we had no luck. It was fun just driving around looking at the city. Steven and I also got a much needed 4 hour nap that day. The one thing about cruises is that you hardly get any sleep. The boat is a non stop party.
