HAPPY BIRTHDAY
Happy Birthday to my LITTLE MISS PERFECT!!! Kayla is 3 years old today. She came into my bed last night and I woke up to her poking my eye saying, "mom wake up, mom wake up." So when I did wake up I woke up to a huge smile saying, "it's my birthday can I open my presents." I looked at the time and saw that it was 4:00am and told Kayla that it wasn't time to wake up yet. She sighed "ahhhhhhh, can I please sleep in your bed." Of course I said yes. I have the hardest time saying no to her. She has her dad and I wrapped around her little finger. Well, the clock quickly changed to 7:00am and Kayla was so excited to see all her presents on the fireplace and to see balloons on her breakfast chair. I had been asking for the last two weeks what she wanted for her birthday and I got the same response every time. Stickers and balloons. Needless to say it was easy birthday shopping for her. Well it is weird to think that now my youngest is three. I still look at her as if she were one. It is hard to see all my precious kids grow up so fast. Where does the time go. Kayla sure has blessed our family and made her parents softies. She has such an innocence about her and is the cutest thing ever. Everything she does brings a smile or a laugh. Well, almost everything. I am so blessed to be her mom. I love you Kayla...

Easter Egg Fights
We celebrated Easter Sunday at the Jarvis's. My mom cooked a wonderful, very fancy dinner. She even made a gingerbread Easter house for the centerpiece. What can I say my mom is amazing and she goes all out for family holidays. We colored eggs and sent the kids on an easter egg hunt. We then had our Easter egg fights. The object is to get an egg (hard boiled of course) and you fight with someone else by hitting their egg. Whosever egg cracks is out and the winner moves on to the next round. It probably sounds weird and crazy but it is really funny and a really fun tradition. This year however was different because after the egg fights we truly had an egg fight. We started to throw eggs at each other and eventually everyone ganged up on my brother Josh. I don't know why it all turned on Josh but it was so much fun. You should have seen my parents backyard. There were eggs everywhere and on everyone. It was an Easter event I will never forget. I really love my family. There is nothing like it. We have such a good time together and I am so grateful for every single one of them. So if you read this Dad, Mom, Kristy, Jason, Brady, Conner, Casey, Alexis, Nacole, Chad, Taylor, Kassidy, Baylee, Cody, Josh, JD, and Jodi know that I Love you and miss you. I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter. We sure did...
Coloring easter eggs
We colored easter eggs at the Jarvis's. It is a fun but also messy activity. It kinda makes you wonder if it is worth it. Although I guess I couldn't imagine an Easter without coloring eggs. So I guess we will carry on the tradition no matter what the cost. Tip: If you cover your kids head to toe it will be less likely that they will spill dye all over themselves and ruin the brand new easter outfit you bought them. HA HA

Easter at the Kemptons
We had a ton of fun celebrating Easter with Stevens family on Saturday. The Easter Bunny came and brought some goodie baskets for the kids and to my surprise the Easter Bunny even got me one. I swear I can remember having a visit with the Easter Bunny about only bringing the kids a basket but I guess he forgot that conversation. We of course had the traditional Easter egg hunt and Kayla came up on a basket full. Probably because she had mom and dads help. We sure enjoyed the party and the company. We always enjoy our stay at the Kempton home.

Sedona Getaway
Steven and I went on our annual anniversary getaway and this year we went to Sedona. We went for 3 days and enjoyed every minute of it. We stayed in a beautiful resort and enjoyed the beautiful scenery. It was cloudy and raining basically the whole time we were there but despite the weather conditions we were determined to go hiking. It was really cloudy one day but it hadn't rained yet so we decided to give hiking a try. We should have known it probably wasn't a good idea when we noticed that there was no one else hiking but we were up for the adventure. After a while it started to sprinkle and we thought no big deal. Then the rain started to fall. We started to head back making sprints here and there taking cover under trees until we were ready to move again. We finally got close enough to run as fast as we could back to the car. We made it back wet and muddy but it was an adventure we'll never forget. So after that we opted for shopping. That was fine by me. We had a wonderful time just relaxing, taking naps in the middle of the day and meeting some interesting people in the hot tub. We really had a wonderful anniversary getaway and we are so grateful for Stevens parents for watching our kids.
Family Fun at Makutus Island
We took the kids to this place called Makutus Island while we were in the valley for spring break. It is a giant tree house playground. The kids were in heaven. It was a lot of fun. The cool thing about it was that Steven and I could climb in the tree house with the kids and go down the slides and stuff. Steven and I had just as much fun as the kids did. We had a wonderful spring break full of family time.
